I live in the beautiful state of Colorado. I work as an accountant at a non profit in the outdoor industry. My free time is spent hiking, climbing, biking, skiing, and enjoying all the things Colorado has to offer. I have been investing in real estate since 1985. I’ve made a pretty decent profit through appreciation and a note in the Ketchum/Sun Valley area of Idaho (i.e. a high end ski area). In August, 2018, I sold my last property in Idaho and executed a 1031 exchange. With the use of the exchange funds I purchased rental properties in Arkansas and Alabama. I’ve also set up a self directed IRA. I’m looking to purchase 2 more rentals in Birmingham AL with those funds. And I’ve done some lending to flippers through Ground Floor, a crowdfunding platform that I highly recommend.
