Recently becoming an empty nester, my husband (local developer and builder) and I dove head first into the world of ST Rentals by purchasing two properties located in the county by the Missouri River and right off the Katy Trail, which crosses the state of Missouri. After a LOT of hard work and learning curve on the platforms, we purchased 2 duplexes, and 3 single family homes with the original intent of STR. Our city is currently working on drastic restrictions to these, so we converted the to MTR and learned yet another marketing platform. We already had a few LTR, so now we have rentals in all 3 categories and love what we are doing! In just 2 years we now have 8 active units, and 4 more being re-habbed to add to the mix next year.
