I am a USMC vet currently looking to buy my first multifamily (owner-occupied) with the VA loan. Ultimately, my strategy is to build a portfolio of rental properties as well as flipping to fund MFH and later on commercial deals. Beyond the aspirations of financial freedom, I am also attracted to real estate because of the challenge involved in making/getting deals.
