I am new to real estate and still consider myself in the education phase. I had previously invested in two rental properties, unfortunately, with no prior knowledge, research or proper numbers. One worked and one tanked. I’m lucky the one worked at all. However, my interest in REI has not waned. I have now dedicated myself to a proper investing education. I ravenously crave any education and am willing to work for it. While overseas for the last six years we worked out a Rental Arbitrage for STR in beautiful Lisbon, Portugal. Now back in US, North of Chicago, IL we are BRRRing our current property, to pull cash out for our next investment in 6-12mos. My goal is to replace 1/2 my living expenses in the next 5years. I also am looking for properties with forced equity through basic renovations or additions. More generally, I am interested in connecting digitally or locally (around Chicago) with anyone wanting to discuss real estate or potential deals ranging the gambit of REI. I currently am working and living full time near North Chicago, Illinois. I am married to a beautiful woman and three wonderful, (most of the time) small children.
