I have a background in natural resources (a B.S. in Forestry & a B.S. in Wildlife Management), worked as a forester for the state, & started my own natural resources consulting company before becoming licensed in real estate. My wife & I bought a duplex & lived in one side when we first got married. We added a second duplex & a single family home then decided to get more formal knowledge through licensing before investing more. I worked for a brokerage that focused on rural property before getting my broker's license. I now combine my natural resource knowledge with my real estate on the brokerage side of my life. We are looking to expand our personal investments & thinking about branching out from residential if we can find a commercial opportunity that doesn't feel too risky.
