Darrell Campbell

Hello All, My name is Darrell Campbell, I'm tremendously happy I found this site. I actually found the podcast Nov 28, 2015, and I haven't been able to stop listening since. I love information and I love information that doesn't have all the fluff. I hate when I hear things are easy because it makes you appreciate things less when it's just handed to you in a sense. So about me, I worked in the Music Entertainment Business on the Business end for 7+ years. My background is pretty extensive(Assistant, Executive Assistant, Operations Manager, PR, Publicist, Stylist etc.). Currently I work for the government and I enjoy what I do and the history I'm apart of daily. My interest for Real Estate started at a young age, I read some books back in high school and I have always had the knack for entrepreneurship. I knew many years ago that I did not want to work a 9-5 for 30+ years. I don't knock anyone who enjoys their job, I respect anyone who is working to provide for themselves and their families and not always seeking handouts. Moving forward, hear I am now, I left one career because I worked 15 to 18hr days 7 days a week for 3 years straight, it took it's tole on my body, mind, spirit. I looked old, felt old. The love for music dwindled away, I needed a change, so I walked away officially in 2012 and styled one last individual in 2013 February. When I walked away I had no clue what my next moves were, no idea at all. After a few months on sulking in my room, out of shape, stressed, feeling like a failure etc. I got off my pity party butt and put a plan of action together. Go back to school and finish my Bachelors in Business, planned out moving to the government, getting my health back together and in one year I changed my life completely. I checked off everything in my Phase 1 plan and now I'm in phase 2. Solidifying my job with the Gov. and truly focusing on Real Estate in 2016 until I achieve the success I want to leave my job and focus on passive income. I plan on moving out of the workforce in 3 to 7 years. I want freedom of depending on me to write myself a check and not anyone else. Damon Dash a great mentor through the information I study on him helps me realize how important independence is for wealth and legacy. I'm hear to learn, to make friends and potentially do business with other member or heck just learn from those around this community of Bigger Pockets. I'm big on networking which is one of the main reasons I have gotten this far in life.. I know signing up doesn't cost anything but I appreciate this avenue that has been created. I'm a 100% newbee and I'm hear to learn! Open to investing.
