16 years ago I purchased a duplex. I refurbished and rented both sides, stayed within my budget and before I realized it I was a RE investor. Although short lived, due to a divorce. I found my experience to be a positive one. I've been a licensed finish contractor in the Sacramento area for 20 years. Having the skill set and with my willing partner (fiance) at my side, (who is also skilled in the trades of electricity, plumbing, framing, building codes, cabinetry) and it doesn't hurt that she's a CPA. Together we feel it's time to get involved with REI.
