My wife and I purchased our first home in 2012 in Windsor, ON Canada. Since I owned my own construction company and worked in the field my whole life, our first home was a bank repo that needed much work. We lived in and renovated the house for the next 3 years. What I learned during that first flip taught us why real estate is such a powerful vehicle to achieve financial independence. We have flipped a few more homes since and acquired rental properties as well, and our goal is to turn this passive income into our main source of income.
