I'm an engineer who invests in real estate part time, until hopefully becoming full time at some point. I currently own two properties in another state that I manage, as well as my single family home in DFW. Experience: I own and manage three rental properties out of state - A single family townhouse and two off-campus student houses. Real Estate Goals: My wife and I are full steam ahead on our goal to continuing to acquire units. We want to completely replace our W2 income with buy and hold within the next five years. That's an ambitious goal, but we'd rather come up short on a big goal than surpass too small of one. Specifically, we are currently weighing the pros and cons of of turn key, out-of-state investing, and continued digging in our home area of DFW. Currently: We are trying to find out next deal. I've taken a slight step back recently, wading through the waters on finding additional deals, as well as looking into various strategies (LLC, etc.), and whether or not partnering might be a better option. I'm willing to work and willing to invest. I appreciate all tips, comments, and advice.
