I am a firefighter in the San Francisco Bay Area. My wife and I (see picture above), are both veterans of the Air Force. We realized the strength of real estate investing through a bad deal. We bought our first home in Albuquerque NM in 2005, prior to thinking real estate was a viable investment tool. We decided in 2007 to move back to California to be near family and rented out the New Mexico house. In the past year we have been educating ourselves on real estate investing. We analyzed the NM property through the lens of an investor and found the house to be a bad investment. Even so, it now cash flows, the tenants are paying down our mortgage, and we now have equity. Now, we want to repeat the process we began accidently so long ago. And do it with educated minds. Albuquerque will probably be our base of operation because we know the area.
