I have always said "My first house will be a multi-family" After high school, I went directly into the workforce with not much thought about the future. I worked a variety of jobs, including owning a small landscaping company. Looking for some more cash, I landed a part time gig in the HVAC trade working on energy management and automation systems. A steady paycheck quickly became more appealing and the grounds maintenance took a back seat, eventually going dead. Excelling in my new found industry, I moved onto another company and settled in for the long haul. While working full time, I took on an endeavor with a start up company. The venture gave me some excellent education and was extremely gratifying but at the same time left me stressed and over worked. I started thinking about the future, and where I wanted to be. I knew I needed to make a change to reach my goals. Real Estate - I continuously found myself talking about, thinking about, researching it. So I went to a mortgage broker and asked for some money. A few months later at 30 years old I closed on my first house - a three family. After only one year into the real estate venture, it became very apparent. This is where its at, and I want more.
