I am a professional musician. I have always had an interest in home renovations and that along with meeting a few pro RE investors really sparked my interest in real estate investing. I still enjoy playing music professionally as well as the traveling that goes with it. When I get a chance, my hobbies are fishing, canoeing, hiking, and camping. Experience: New Investor as of 2013. I just purchased my first rental property, a duplex, in SW Pennsylvania. I suppose I could also include a house I bought in a suburb of Toronto that ended up being much more of a fixer upper than expected. It was quite a learning experience. Real Estate Goals: I am hoping to increase my rental holdings and grow in scope and scale of properties. I would certainly like to learn other real estate investing methods especially rehabbing and flipping. Ultimately I would like this to be my primary vehicle for achieving financial freedom before age 50. I am 33 now.
