I am currently a Soldier in the United States Army looking into investing in real estate with the Basic Allowance for Housing (BAH) we receive monthly. I would like to have something to show for the monthly allowance we receive, instead of rent for 20+ years and have nothing to show for it. I am from Wisconsin originally, so my ultimate goal is to own property in Wisconsin as I plan to retire there in the future. I am currently stationed in Alaska, and on orders for Ft. Lewis, Washington, where i plan to begin my career as an investor in real estate. I am extremely open to any and all advice if anyone may have any for a new and first time real estate investor.
