I am a man in my 40's. I live in Portland, OR. I currently own one duplex that I live in one half of and rent out the other. My goal is to own enough units by the time I hit retirement age that it will fully fund my income needs. I feel I will have to buy elsewhere since my down payment amount isn't enough to get anything in my area and even if it was it wouldn't cash flow. I learned about Bigger Pockets by searching YouTube for out of state investment videos and one of the webinars came up.
