I ran my own SMB IT/Consulting firm from 2010 - 2018. I then went back to school and got a BS in business management and MS in management and leadership. I hold a variety of certifications in leadership methodologies and technology and know how to build efficient, robust, and responsive business systems and operations. I have over a decade and a half of experience in helping SMBs streamline processes and improve their efficiency. I often tell folks that your business boils down to two things: Innovation and Marketing. Your innovations are what give you a competitive advantage and market differentiation over time. Your Marketing is what broadcasts your innovations to the world, and unless you have a multi-pronged approach, you're probably not performing at the highest level you can. In general, your revenue is a direct outgrowth of your marketing efforts. If your revenue depends on your marketing, how many of the following do you have systematically engrained into your business? - Directs Sales - Joint Ventures - Referral Systems - Direct Mail - Advertising - Back end sales - Endorsements - Host Beneficiary Relationships Your marketing will often go through seasons where one or more will work better than others. The more strategies you employ, the more effective your business will be at weathering any and all storms that will inevitably come your way. Growing a business is pretty simple, if you focus on the right things. If you want to grow you business you need to focus on increasing your average transaction value, increase the frequency of repurchase, and increase the number of clients you close.
