I'm a NYC native born in the culturally rich town of Harlem. Recently graduating with an Associate's in Accounting but with little to show for it. Following the trend of racking up expensive student loans for (nearly) useless diplomas, I'm working my way at chipping the my debt while putting cash away for REI. Experience: None yet but open for learning! Real Estate Goals: Buy and Hold Multi-Unit properties for the long haul using unconventional and creative finance methods, working my way from the bottom to become the best REI/Landlord/DIY Handyman. I'm looking to begin a REI portfolio by purchasing down and out properties located in older, neighborhoods via seller financing, fixing them up and renting them out, becoming the 'Rehabbing Renter'. My goals : 1) Find a mentor in my field of interest 2) Continue reading REI and Biz books 3) Finish my biz plan 4) Lastly but most importantly, make an offer and get a deal under contract before the end of 2015 I see myself acquiring and holding properties as the market dictates and selling when better opportunities arise for larger investments arise. In the next 5 years, I want to have 20 units under my belt paying down my mortgage, cashflowing and allowing me to replace my job income many times over.
