I’m a residential real estate investor and developer, in addition to my staffing company we founded in 2015. My wife and I owner-occupy a duplex in NE Mpls, purchased in 7-2019. I own three additional duplexes, one solo I bought in 2017, one more with my wife we bought in 2020, and one with an investment club of Luther College (Iowa) alums, also purchased in 2017. My brother also owns a duplex, two SFHs, and a 14-unit apartment building, hence “Amlie Bros Properties.” We are interested in finding or developing MF apartment buildings for fix/flip into long-term rental. We also develop real estate and have a group of investors with cash to deploy. We are in beginning phases of a project in Sioux Falls, SD, with our goal to diversify out of Minnesota into a more business-friendly environment, and bring high-quality but affordable apartments to a booming city.
