I got into real estate investing after watching a Max Maxwell video and reading Rich Dad Poor Dad. I have a curious nature, and I was fascinated with the idea that there are things taught to the upper class that wasn't taught to the class that I fall into, which was lower-middle class. And I'm also fascinated with the fact that someone in my financial situation, with my past, and my education, could become wealthy. That fact sticks with me because I have a burning desire for success, and I didn't see a way out of poverty before finding REI. I started an insulation business, thinking I could use what I've been taught to offer a good service and become wealthy. What I hadn't learned yet was that your business won't be successful unless you love the actual work. And insulation is shitty work! Unlike real estate, which excites me and I understand it. I'm looking for like-minded individuals in my area, so that we can mastermind and elevate each others' successes.
