I am a woman interested in beginner real estate investing especially in Washington State where I live. I am about to sell my single family residence and would like to use some of the money to invest in real estate. My initial idea was to purchase raw land, deal with the county to get all the necessary permits and then install power, water, septic. I would then either sell it to a builder or put a house/duplex on it myself and then sell it. I would then use the profits to repeat the process until such time as I could afford to buy rental properties to generate adequate income. However, browsing through Bigger pockets makes me wonder if this is the best approach and I am eager to consider other options.
