I am 26 years old, married for 2 years. Live in Lancaster, PA. Have a bachelor's in life science, however after starting a flooring business I haven't pursued my career and instead have been running the business for over 2 years now. I am expanding my clientele and building a presence in my county. It has been going very well and better than I anticipated so it has been a huge blessing. I am new to Real Estate, however, I do plan on becoming an investor. My goal is to buy and hold properties and not necessarily to flip. I believe my business is generating a decent amount of money for me to get to my essential goal with properties in a relatively short amount of time. My wife and I are on the same page and are excited to be financially free and live entirely off of our cash flowing properties and enjoy life while we are still young and energetic. We love travelling and hopefully will be able to do more travelling after we own a few properties. The last thing we want is to have this rosy visualization of owning rental properties where you are doing nothing and cash is just flowing in. We want the hard facts, the reality, and see how life is like for investors who own 40+ units. Can you really work one day a week and own 40+ units? How about one day a month? Or will it be a full time job managing our property managers? We will have to find these answers out here on bigger pockets.
