My goal is to build a relatively passive income and business that not only allows me quit my day job and live an extraordinary life, but also build a business that I can pass onto my children. In 2007 I obtained my real estate license for a couple of years solely to buy and sell my own properties and investments, and in 2007 I bought a single-family unit as a short sale that was a complete gut rehab with the intent of fixing and flipping. In 2008 the housing market collapsed and that forced me into a buy and hold strategy for the past 12 years. While I'd generally consider myself a newbie to real estate investing, my initial investment is finally sale-able and I'd like to take another pass at investing focusing on small multi-family properties (duplexes, triplexes, fourplexes) and eventually parlaying those into larger multi-family developments. I'm looking to grow my education via this site and other formats as well as meet mentors and service providers who can help me along my journey.
