Michael Harris

My name is Michael J. Harris Jr and I am a retired US Navy Chief Petty Officer from Oakland, California. I have been living in San Diego county for 18 years and I knew from the first day I stepped on San Diego soil upon returning from a six month deployment that I would never live anywhere else. As a result I have planted my own seeds and I married a local San Diegan and we have four beautiful children together. While serving in the US Navy I served as an Information Systems Technician better known as IT and communications. As an IT specialist I realized that I enjoyed solving problems while helping others. This made the transition from Officer to Realtor a little less difficult than normal. I figured that if I could develop and manage a communications plan for an Aircraft Carrier Strike Group or build a computer network, selling homes should be easy. Well at least that's what I initially believed. Despite both presenting their own unique challenges and requiring attention to detail, I enjoy them both exponentially. I particularly enjoy helping my fellow veterans and active duty service members experience the joy of homeownership. With all the sacrifices we have made while serving our country I believe there is a need for people that supports and takes care of us. San Diego is the perfect community for me to serve veterans and those who support veterans as I do.
