Fon Ngu

I am father of four kids: two girls; 22 and 13; and two boys, 19 and 18. I met my beautiful wife (Frida) 24 years ago, in Columbus, Ohio. I am a naturalized U.S. citizen; born in Cameroon, West-Central Africa. Cameroon, like Canada, is a bilingual country (French and English), and so I have a strong background in French. I came to the U.S. as a student, and I have now spent more than half my life in the United States. My wife is also originally from Cameroon. I am a graduate of Slippery Rock Univ., PA with a B.S. in Economics and a minor in French. I also hold an MA in Economics from the University of Toledo, OH. I am currently working on a doctoral dissertation with the hope of completing a doctoral degree in Business Admin in 2014. I had an opportunity to get into a doctoral program after graduate school many years ago, but I put those plans on hold in order to help my two siblings and a nephew through college. I am glad I helped them, but I have often felt compelled to go back to school and complete my doctoral work. I enjoy writing, editing, and I have completed a manuscript for a novel, and two screenplays, but they are all yet to be published. I love tennis, soccer, music, swimming, travel, creative writing, and reading, and spending as much time as I can with my family. I worked for about seven years as the Manager for Africa and Middle East trade for my state. I was responsible for promoting my state's exports to Africa and the Middle East. While in this position, I met several heads of states, Kings, and some very successful business executives. After leaving my state job, I owned and operated several businesses, but I found myself always thinking about real estate. I am, therefore, very pleased to be here. I am also delighted to have stumbled on this forum.
