I’m a new rental property investor researching the trade and working on remodeling our first property. We purchased half a twindo at the end of June, 2022 and are planning on making it a long-term rental by the end of August. We had an older duplex for a few years that we sold a few years ago to use the equity to pay off our house and then sold that to pay for half of the new house we built that is our forever home. We have 3 amazing kids all under 6, which makes making time for investing difficult, but rewarding. I’m a manufacturing engineer by trade and plan to one day make rentals my full time career! My wife is an RN and right now we are doing are own remodels while balancing the work/home life.
