Hey BP community — Robert Merlos here, based in Saratoga Springs, Utah. I'm a manager by trade — I manage a team in the healthcare space — but I'm building toward something bigger. I've spent years watching other people's systems and now I'm building my own. I'm zeroing in on Section 8 investing in the Detroit market. The numbers make sense, the demand is consistent, and I like the idea of government-backed rent hitting my account every month while a property manager handles the rest. My goal is to acquire 5 properties in the next 12 months using a HELOC and DSCR financing, fully remote from Utah. I'm not here to flip. I'm building a long-term cash flow portfolio — slow, intentional, and scalable.
