I'm a young, stay-at-home-mom of 2 toddlers and a military spouse. When we got our orders to our first base we started renting out our house for a little profit and I thought to myself "this is really cool that someone ELSE is paying off my mortgage!". Now we are looking to separate from the military and are in an ideal position (hopefully) to get a second property, hopefully a duplex, as long as I can work out a good deal. I'm hoping if that all works out, I can grow a real estate portfolio over time.
