Thomas Palmer

I have lived in Texas since 1972, primarily in North Texas but spent a couple of years in San Antonio, where my wife is from and her family still lives. I am 64 years young. I have had a fascination with real estate investing for a long time but have never had enough information to make the commitment to jump in and get started. I read several articles and testimonials on BiggerPockets and I am going to watch a Webinar tomorrow about "Buying that first Property". I am hoping that I will finally receive the information that I need to get started in real estate investing and make it my primary business moving forward. Experience: I have limited experience in buying real estate from a career standpoint. I have both 4 homes over the years as primary residences and of those, (3) were built from the ground up. Real Estate Goals: I would like to devote 100% of my time to obviosly making money but more important knowing that I can generate a good solid income now and into my "retirement" years. I would like to wholesale 1-3 properties per month at a $5-10,000 return and Flip 1 or 2 houses per month and hopefully earn at least $20-40,000 on those flips. Additionally, my goal is to have enough "doors" as rentals to generate another $5000 per month. Currently Seeking: I am currently seeking a Mentor at best or at least an experienced investor that I could bounce ideas off of or consult on deals during my learning curve. I want to start "wholesaling" and "flipping" real estate but I am totally lost on where to begin searching for properties, finding funding, marketing,etc. I will continue to read, listen to podcasts on BP and try to expand my knowledge of the industry.
