Travis Zappia

My name is Travis and I am 24 years old. I am extremely pumped to begin my journey in real estate rental property investing. I continue to bring this up to some of my co-workers and they tend laugh, but that is something I have been used to throughout my career having to manage people 2 or 3 times my age. I am one of the youngest Operations managers in Walmart's history and I currently running a 235 associate outbound shift for a 1 million sq. ft. Walmart.com building in Davenport, Fl. I have 5 area manager direct reports and really enjoy my job, but I want to build my financial future with real estate. My background is in Industrial Engineering with an emphasis in Logistics. In my professional career I have worked on projects focusing on process optimization and data mining to find/create detailed reports that are beneficial for my business. I am very much a numbers guy and have already developed my own spreadsheet that I use when analyzing rental properties. I read Rich Dad Poor Dad at the end of last year and since have been extremely pumped and motivated to controlling my financial future and creating enough passive income to live the lifestyle I want to live. Since reading Rich Dad Poor Dad I have been investing heavily in my education and networking. I have also read the below books: • The ONE Thing • Real Estate Rewind by BP • The Book Of Rental Property Investing I have attended the local BP meetups in Orlando and worked on networking with different people at the events. I also plan on going to the GOREIA meetings in the future. I currently have $50k of liquid capital as well as an additional $50k in investment accounts between the stock market and my 401k plan. I plan to use this money to begin my investing career.
