Recently started working for a Jacksonville Real Estate Investment Company as a Rehab Assistant. I spend my days driving all over Jacksonville, getting quotes for jobs, and budgeting rehabs. I spend a lot of my time networking and going to local Real Estate meetups. I live in Nocatee and I'm getting to know St. John's County very well. I have two investment properties of my own, both Short-term rentals (STR). One in Columbia, SC where it is mostly booked by military families attending their soldier's Basic Training graduation. And one in Jacksonville that tends to have longer term bookings (2 weeks to 2 months). I oversaw 3 flips on Columbia, SC for my brother, who was out of state. I mainly focused on quality checks, met with various contractors, and helped keep the project on budget. Near-term goal is to get my RE agent license and complete a BRRRR in 2023, either STR or long-term rental. Long term goal is to replace my salary with real estate income (I hesitate to call it "passive" income).
