I'm a young and aspiring real estate investor ready to step away from being behind a desk for the next 40 plus years. After dropping out of school twice due to financial reasons, I was blessed to find a career as an entry level accounting analyst at an equipment breakdown insurance company; a year and a half later, I was promoted to a reinsurance accountant. I'm the youngest reinsurance accountant, the youngest in the receivables department, and the only accountant without an undergrad degree. But even with the promotion, I'm not being paid for what I believe I'm worth. I'm ready to put my knowledge of accounting and finance to work and begin this commitment by educating myself and being proactive to achieve what many people in my family could not--self employment and financial freedom.
