Although I have been renting my second home in Culver City, CA since 2007, I just discovered the financial independence movement and am looking to become a true real estate investor. Since December 2018, I have read read several books (Richest Man in Bablyon, Rich Dad Poor Dad, Simple Path to Wealth, Set for Life) and am currently reading Brandon Turner's books on Rental Property Investing and Managing Rental Properties. I've connected with a real estate investment team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. I'm looking to make my first deal (technically 3rd, but its been awhile) within the next 6 months.
