Volcom Skatepark in Costa Mesa is a destination for skateboarders around the OC. While hanging out at The Slam OC we had the opportunity to see all sorts of skateboarding tricks and products. One thing we didn’t see was skateboarding home décor. Here’s a few of the most unique ideas for how you can refurbish a skateboard according to Freshome… Do you agree? These ideas may not be for everyone however it’s better than letting a board go to waste.

Orange County Short Sales and Distressed Homes Market Update July 7, 2010

Distressed home sales in the Orange County real estate market are a major headline. In fact the OC Register just ran a story about how 1 in 4 transactions is a short sale. Inman News also reported that the number of banked owned inventory grew in May. Here’s a look at the number of distressed sales currently on the market and the number of short sales:

Costa Mesa:

5 homes in foreclosure process

7 homes have notices of default

13 homes are REO/lender owned

64 Short sale/subject to lender approval

Costa Mesa Summer Concerts

Another great reason to live in Costa Mesa – summer concerts! Thanks to the Costa Mesa Community Foundation for funding this summer pastime.  The concerts take place at Fairview Park, which is located in Costa Mesa on the Huntington Beach border, in between the Mesa Verde and Westside neighborhoods. Music fills the air from 6:15-7:45pm. Bring your picnic dinner and enjoy the entertainment with friends and family. The concerts are a wonderful night out for Costa Mesa residents and anyone else who wants to join in the fun – for free!
