I've made it a policy in my life and business practice to always look to learn from any conversation! Many in our industry come off too busy to talk to the little guy or meet with a random business owner but if that is you, you are leaving behind unknown nuggets of gold! I met a salesman at a local bar not to long ago and at first glace seemed to be just another "Joe" I spent some time asking him questions about what he did and who he knew and after ten minutes had made a connection that eventually lead to a very lucrative business transaction! Do you stress out around the Holiday's or do you take time to enjoy and reflect on the year behind us? The holiday season can be very stressful. Many scramble around doing whatever it takes to get the perfect gifts for those they care about. This year many are holding on to all the cash they have and worried about what is to come in 2009. I take this time to reflect on the year past and plan for the next year ahead. Of course the most important part of this time of year is to spend quality time with your family and friends. Once the feasts are over and the family goes home you should really take some extra time out to plan for your success in 2009. Here are some of the main activities that will help you grow next year.

• Get a coach or a mentor! Find someone that has exactly what you want and ask to interview them. Find out what they do different and do exactly what they do. Success leaves clues and if you find a good quality model or mentor and do just what they do, shouldn't you have a similar result?
• Do a consistent monthly budget! You NEED a budget if you want to succeed. How will you know how to get where you need to be if you don't know where you are now! I would love to share my personal budget plan with anyone that would use it. It will change your business. If you don't have a budget you don't have a business!
• Make a plan!! Those that fail to plan always plan to fail! Write down your goals give a timeline for yourself and work backward to achieve what you want. Take massive action toward your specific goals and you will get them. Don't be a goal setter become a goal getter.
