I Am Pumped!

Wednesday, March 31

I am very excited by recently networking with some very aggressive and experienced real estate investors here in Baton Rouge.  I've been studying and taking "pot shots" at REI for 1 1/2 years but now I am really focused and with the help of my new assciates, we have submitted 3 offers in 2 days.  I am finally believing that I am on my way to my goal of generating income from my real estate investment activities with my ultimate goal to leave the "Rat Race" forever.

I thank God for guiding me and giving me the opportunity to pursue my dreams and fulfill my life's ambition to be happy and provide for my self and my family using His power and my belief take great things can be achieved with determination and unrelenting drive.

I also want to thank the BP community for all the support and fantastic information.

Kinsley, There are 2 things you have to do continuously. 1. Get educated and continue to study Real Estate Investing. There are a lot of great books and forums. I like the forums on BiggerPockets.com best. 2. Take action!

    Good Luck!

    Kinsley,

Another good thing to do is check your area for a REIA group. That's a Real Estate Investment Association. These are great places to network and find out what's going on in your area. Again I recommend you spend time on Bigger Pockets forums. Where are you located?

    Hi Robert,

I have attended our local REIA once. I just have been able to join due to the fact of the membership fee that has to be payed. I'm located in central Florida Polk County.....

What strategy of REI are you interested in?

Well Robert, I have pretty much been studying the wholesaling aspect of the business. I've been to seminars and read quite a few material on whole sales. I also want to get involved with short sales, lease options, and soon learn a little more about commercial real estate investing........

I suggest you sit down and take a hard look at your resources, ie, cash available, credit score, time to work business etc and then focus on one strategy that best suits your resources. You will find most new investors have better success when they work in one area 1st and then branch out as they get more experience and resources.
