When the Dallas area was being settled by European immigrants, many of the settlers traveled by wagon trains along the old Shawnee Trail. This trail was also used for cattle drives north from Austin. This trail later became the Preston Trail, and later, Preston Road. With all of this activity, the community of Lebanon was founded along this trail and granted a U.S. post office in 1860.In 1902, a line of the St. Louis-San Francisco Railway was being built through the area, and periodic watering holes were needed along the rails for the steam engines. The current settlement of Lebanon was on the Preston Ridge and was thus too high in elevation, so the watering hole was placed about four miles (6 km) to the west on lower ground.A community grew around this train stop. Residents of Lebanon actually moved their Frisco Houses to the new community on logs. The new town was originally named Emerson, but that name was rejected by the U.S. Postal Service as being too similar to another town in Texas. In 1904, the residents chose Frisco City in honor of the St. Louis-San Francisco Railway on which the town was founded, later shortened to its present name. As the City developed, the Frisco Home market became popular as Frisco provided several schools, several entertaining venues like skating, hiking, swimming and also provided for all the basic needs required by the Residents. There are several parks and picnic areas that are enjoyed by people of all ages and people love to live here. As with any growing region, there is a lot going on in the McKinney Real Estate market. If you have a home or any other kind of property to sell, then there are many things that can be done in order to get the best possible sales price. In most cases many of those are low cost and will give you a great return on the money spent.
The first thing to think about when selling McKinney real estate is the curb appeal of your property, because that is what will convince potential buyers to come in and see the inside. Although this is very important for residential real estate, it is also a factor when selling commercial real estate. Improving the way your property looks at first sight can be an expensive job or it can be cheaply done, but that depends a lot on your neighborhood. The more expensive the market value, the more money should be invested in improving the outdoor areas and front side of your home. Important is to have a clean appearance and colorful flowers can also catch the attention of buyers passing by.
The inside of the real estate is also of utmost importance. It is a proven fact that the kitchen and bathrooms are the main rooms that potential buyers look at when considering which house to buy. At least these rooms should be renovated and made to look as appealing as possible. The walls should also have neutral colors like white or beige instead of things like bright red or lime green. If your McKinney house is colorful on the inside, then spend a couple hundred dollars and do some repainting. This not only keeps the price of the property up, but also increases the chances of selling your real estate quickly.
