As a mortgage broker, only you can make your situation better. No, disrespect to the Obama administration, but they do not know what each and every person is ACTUALLY going through, including those in the real estate world. We have to survive too! I know that I am not the only broker who has lost a tremendous amount of revenue. People have no equity on their homes, and we all are losing out left and right. I don't think people are going to be running out like they're crazy to buy new homes, and that means less business for us and more revenue lost. I became an affiliate of a company called Option Next [www.optionnext.com] and they helped me take my clients who were about to go into foreclosure and turn them into clients who were doing loan mod's and short selling. Of course, homeowners have always gone into foreclosure, but now it's at an all time high. I need Option Next more than ever now; they are helping me survive and can help any other broker who needs direction.
