Geez! When it RAINS, it pours! I "live" in Morton country! Cannot find my dang top neither! Well, another GURU "tip" bites the dust-humn, I should/could WRITE a book for the NEWBIE beginner-on BEWARE of the advice you get/take on all the BRIGHT ideas from webinars and books the gurus make money from YOU-when in the truth of it ALL-it cost the NEWBIE money instead. Case in point, today I got a call from the manager of BOOKS A Million, idiot me ...again took some dumb advice of some guru, cannot recall who, which one, but they said put biz card in all the RE books on B. Million shelf, so I did, like umn, a year ago, now getting a call, oops, well, they could have pressed charges, sweet talked my way out of it...no fine this time, the last cost me $286 and going to court over those STUPID bandit signs! So, again, I have not MADE a dime, aah, one red cent from Real estate, it has ALWAYS cost me, I must be a dang idiot fool, as I am a sucker /glutten for punishment I suppose, I cannot give it up=I have a belief, it ain't just happened for me as to date. I keep reading all the success stories, yet have not experienced it yET! LOL to keep my sanity!Thursday, August 26
Met a 94 year old lady today, by mistake, looking at another house, but rode down the other end of the road and saw her For Sale sign. She has 11 acres, zoned AF, but is actually commerical on a nice highway, major in my city. She wants $500k for the entire property. However, she does not trust anyone, and will not sign any paperwork, except the sales contract with her PRICE. I had thought of an option to remedy this, but she will not sign that either. Is she a lost cause? ANY ideas?
The other house scenario is this, a Probate house from one year ago, I was in the Probate office, took Preston's advice and decided to try that avenue, well as luck would have it, I met the lady, the daughter of the deceased woman of the house NOW. THen I gave her my card, and she did not want to sell. SHE calls me yesterday,wants to sell now, so I today go to check out her house, she is out of state. Only problem, the house is full of moldy mildew, smell! It does have 2 attached mini apts-moldy too. It is potential commercial and sits just down the other side of the major highway mentioned earlier. My approach to this property is this-option, aah, it is tax assessed for $54k, any suggestions? I am still working on getting that FIRST deal, have not given up just yet. Thanks in advance.

Okay, gurus, death to the bandit signs! Now I got some of those signs, took the guru advice, and put out just a few to test the market here. OMG, our city is HARD up for money! I was called, and reprimanded/warned by the code enforcement, i.e. sign POLICE and told not to put out anymore signs! It is not like Brunswick is plastered with signs here like Jacksonville, FL! But anyway, I was to comply and was then even too scared to put any out in the county as well! Next, here comes the deputy this week and issues me a citation to appear in court/mandatory this coming Wed. for a sign being found on a city street a few blocks from here on the other side of town from where I originally put the signs! Well, turns out I had placed a few signs on my own property and they were stolen/removed by kids that walk by daily to high school, as I had noticed them missing. I suppose they put the sign over by the school where the code guy said he found it and I am in trouble with him! BWK has since been cracking down on signage here-like it is a REAL problem! THe town is run by the 3 blind mice, little ol white hairs mens club-maybe you too have heard of them-are they in your town too? Well, this rinky dink town does not promote small business and they began Brunswick blueprint to hopefully reviatlize downtown-which was a front for all the money pocketed by a select few-get the clue! ANyway, they pick on small folks like me, and turn a blind eye to the real criminals of the town-which I might add are a few big name old money families of course. This is no news flash-has been going on since England! But it surely puts a dampner on what I am trying to do as a newbie-dang-give me a break before I end up resigning to welfare like the majority of Brunswick and saying what the "fluck".
