Progress??

Thursday, February 18

Well I have turned the page and here's where I'm at so far.

1. I have decided to start by wholesaling properties to build capital.

2. Acquired contracts (purchase agreements, options, assingments) via internet, BP, and other resources.

3.  Made an appointment with a real estate attorney on Monday 2/15 to go over my contracts and set up a business structure. I went to his office but he never showed and never called me back. I figured he was never interested in my business or took me seriously anyways. (a blessing for me because he was charging me $1k for a retainer fee) He actually saved me money!

4. Ordered fifty bandit signs and got a deal on a couple magnet signs for the car. If you need some cheap bandit signs go online to dirtcheapsigns and tell them Ray Keziah sent you!

5. Thursday 2/18 I got the nerve to start making offers. So I just got some leads and made five offers at 70% FMV and they all made me embarrassed a little. hehe but at least I'm doing something.... I know I'll get a bite sooner or later.

I know this is just a start but I'm glad to be taking action. I plan to make or have a deal by the end of March. Hopefully I will get some more leads when my signs come in. Also I plan on filling out my forms for an LLC and register it with the Secretary of State. Anyone want to help me fill in the blanks?

Other thoughts: I stumbled on a toastmasters club website and found out there is a club nearby. What are your opinions on joining a toastmasters club? I think proper or effective communication is crucial for this business or any business where you deal with a variety of people day to day, especially with negotiations!

Good luck to all!

Introduction

Tuesday, January 26

"This is the day the Lord has made; let US rejoice and be glad in it." -Psalm 118:24

I have lived a pretty good life to this day. I have no regrets or can't complain about where I've been or the things I've done in the past because, I would not be the person I am today without it. I do consider myself very lucky and very fortunate to be living in this day and age.

I was born into poverty in the Philippines. When I was four or five years old my mother remarried an American who was in the US Airforce and brought us to the United States after a couple years. Leaving my biological father and sister there wasn't anything I thought about at that age, but I'm glad it wasn't the last time I saw them. I still know who and where they are today.

I've moved around through most of my childhood and continue to do so as fate would allow. So from the Philippines to Different parts of North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, Oregon, and Hawaii so far. Maybe that explains the reason I don't mind change as much as other people.

My mother is the biggest influence in my life and has raised me to be strong and think independently, to be responsible and strive for success. Like most parents she told me to go to school, make good grades so you can get into college to get a good job with benefits. Climb the corporate ladder and have security then retire and enjoy life.

At the age of thirty-two I was working for Intel Corp. in Oregon being successful and had everything people wanted in life. Well at least the people I was around including my family. I knew I was where I was told to be; meaning being told from my Mom, my teachers, and my peers. Although I worked hard to get to where I needed to be, I was not satified. Something in me telling there is something missing or I had another purpose. I just knew I didn't want to work for anyone anymore and I wanted to be in control of my own life.

Today I am turning to Page 1 of my new life. Let's see how the story goes.
