Finding REOs not on the MLS

Hi everyone,
I have been told by several people that there is a way to gain access to REOs not listed on the MLS.

Is this possible? Is there a way to find properties not yet listed on the MLS?

If so, any help or ideas on how to do this would be greatly appreciated.

You can
1. Buy from a bank in a large package
2. Buy from the FDIC in a large package
3. Buy from an agent before it hits the MLS
4. Buy from somone who bought it in ways 1-3
