Don't mean to high-jack the thread, but geeez Christina your hot! (sorry Jon, had to)
Easy now!
Is that really true, Christina? I'm not directly involved in trying to do these transactions, but I've been led to believe the big companies don't like these transactions at all, and you're better off with small companies.
I have a handful of email addresses - I'll shoot out the question to my title reps...and get you a national company. The smaller companies are using the larger companies in other states to bind coverage anyways...so my motto is always to go straight to the source. Give me a bit and I'll get you a name and number.
Really? That is interesting. I was always told the same - that local smaller companies are better to use. I know that Foundation Escrow here in San Diego does back to back closings. I don't know if they work nation wide, though.
Escrow...will order the title - helping you find the right title company for the right job. Title will be a separate insured company and most of the local companies can't get insurance nor want to pay for it from state to state - so they basically refer it over to a national company. So let's say you went through Orange County Title - The underwriting for CA would be under that name - if they did another state - they most likely contracted with Fidelity or something..so your really being underwritten to Fidelity rules...
Meanwhile the feelers are out - I'll get a name of a company and then most likely the closer you choose (Escrow) will have a rep they like.
:)
Hi Christina!
I was just wondering if you have any updates on this?
Thanks!
