Good that it is vacant. Try some of those bombs you set then leave for a while. I have been successful with those after doubeling the dosage.
ONLY IN A SF DWELLING. Don't do this in an apartment with occupants on either side.

Bug bombs won't do it. You can kill a lot of fleas, but they lay their eggs in the carpet and the bug bombs won't kill the eggs. You need to get an exterminator, or use the treatment an exterminator uses (which I think includes covering the carpet with some substance that kills the eggs). I had a terrible flea infestation in a rental and a dozen bug bombs didn't get rid of them.

I have a vacant SFH with fleas. I will be removing all the carpet and reflooring with laminant. Would setting off bombs and then removing the carpet do the trick? I will also be sealing all the subfloors with primer.

Remove all fabrics. Then bomb the crawlspace or basement, the main floors and the attic, all at the same time. I usually will use 125% of what is recommended to use. I also will do a perimeter treatment as well as a granular product on the yard.

I like to over due the bug killers!!!
