DIY Green Roof

Hi Everyone,
We're going to be constructing a covered front porch on our latest project. We've committed to going green roof. Not only will it be aesthetically awesome, I'm hoping it outlasts asphalt shingles by 3 fold.

That said, there isn't a whole lot of good resources on line regarding construction. I just wanted to see if anyone has tackled one and pick their brain a bit.

If not, I'll keep this thread updated as we progress through the process. I'm planning on picking up a book or two to boot.
