I was just wondering if any of you have your vehicle wraped( the graphics covering the whole car)? It seems like that could be a pretty good way to advertise your business

I've never seen an investor with a car/vehicle wrap, but I think it is a great idea!

yeah I havent in my area in san antonio, but I saw one online of a truck in dallas and looked pretty cool. mobile billboard
I say do it if you have the money. Park it in front of elementary schools in the afternoon and park it at home depot on the weekends. Drive around like crazy or have someone drive for you.
I know people that have it done but I can't bring myself to ruin the nice paint job of my 08 Civic. I think in the future I may get a Hummer wrapped as it would really stand out and be useful for me. It does work but you have to make it flashy
I never had my car wrapped - I used to have a magnetic sign on my car. Though, it took a lot of my time - had people coming up to me in the parking lot or asking me ?s while at a stoplight/stop sign - what it was all about. I don't use it anymore. I've heard of the car wrap and parking it somewhere with high traffic - sounds like a good idea!
We are considering buying a cheap van to have it wrapped and leave it parked in high traffic places.
Seems like a good way to bring in some leads.
It would be nice to hear some success stories though...
I've seen a photo of one local REI in the Washington, DC area who uses a vehicle wrap. I found during my 9-5 job. I was looking at the website of a vehicle wrap company whose owner had called me and one of the samples of a vehicle wrap they did was for a local REI.
Check out BP member Douglas Christian, aka dealmaker12. His profile photo is his box truck. While I think this discussion is more about our daily drivers I think it's worth taking a look at it. I bet if you saw it on the road or parked along your commute route it would at least get your attention........ and isn't that what this is all about?
I just thought about something else related to this subject.
When the time comes that it is appropriate for me to advertise on a vehicle I plan on going with magnetic signs. Here's my reasoning why - I've heard it said that you don't want to embarrass a homeowner who is in financial distress and needs to sell their home by showing up in their driveway with a "WE BUY HOUSES! DON'T GO INTO FORECLOSURE" screaming from your vehicle. Why? You don't want the owner to be embarrassed. When a neighbor sees that the rumors are going to start flying.
So my thought process is that I will have a magnetic sign with company name, phone, URL, whatever AND a second, complimentary sign with something along the lines of "We buy homes in 7 days" or whatever. That way I can remove the one that might be embarrassing to a potential seller.
I had a vehicle wrapped entirely (mazda 3 sedan). It was not for REI but it did generate lots of talk in our community. It is a bit of a negative if it doubles as your personal vehicle. The wrap cost about $3000 CAD
You are way better off paying a couple of people a few bucks to have your ad printed on the back window of their cars. You will find plenty of takers and the more they drive around the more customers you will get.
I have a partial wrap with my [LINK REMOVED] logo. It made me $53,000 in one deal alone. Great story. We have a local advanced investors luncheon at Dennys and the seller saw my car there. There were 15 other investor cars in the parking lot, but none stood out like mine.
As far as going to see houses, I rarely do it unless we have a deal already. If not, I always park a few doors down and walk. I also wear an ibuyhomes.com shirt every single day. So most people in my neighborhood know what I do for a living.
Yes, you should absolutely do it.
I have a friend in Atlanta that has 2 hummers that are wrapped. I bought a little scion xb that I was going to wrap, but never got around to it. If you have an unusual vehicle then go for it. It will get you business for sure.

There are several guys in Charlotte that have wrapped vehicles. I think it looks sharp and is something that will definitely get attention.
well, advertising is a good way to put it on the wrapped... especially if they want something dynamic and constantly adopting to changes and competitions out there. its not permanent so it can easily be removed or changed.
This is an amazing idea that I never thought of. I have a friend with a graphics business. EASY cheap advertising for me, and $$ for his small business. What a great way to keep it in the family, so to speak.
I think Vehical Wraps are a great way to advertise in a market where the majority of housing is available to buy and earn a profit from reselling.
In a market where that isnt the case it may be a too expensive cost per qualified lead type of marketing.
One value it certainly has is keeping the mindframe of the Investor in the game.
When I bought my first Hummer I wanted to tag it all up however my wife told me she wouldnt be seen getting out of it... Had I only known then how easy it was to eat my cake and have it too.
As for schools, this is exactly why I donated pencils that said "I Buy Houses" to grade schools in the areas I wanted to buy in.
