Interested to hear if anyone on here has used PPC advertising to generate leads for short sales?
I'm interested in trying this.
Thanks.

I haven't used PPC for the specific target you mentioned but I have for my mortgage business. Just about anything is being searched for on the internet so it can work...... IF DONE PROPERLY. I'm assuming that you haven't done that much with adwords so forgive me if you already know some of what I'm typing here.
There is quite a bit to learn about when using adwords like going after the less searched terms that are more cost effetive or mispelled search terms. For instance one of my search terms I used was countywide because people would mispell Countrywide and leave the R out of the word. But this is only one small piece of the bigger picture.
Adwords for Dummys is a great book to start with. Plan on spending plenty of time learning how to use your tracking, webpage optimizer etc... inside adwords.
First thing do is start with throwing anywords you can think of in your campaign and set the daily and monthly limit low to begin with. Adwords will even give you more suggestion from just adding one word in your campaign and show you how much that term is being searched along with what the competition is for that word. From there you keep adding words and letting your data build. After a month or so you will start to see which keywords or phrases work best and you can focus more on those then bump up your budget. This will keep you from spending too much money in the beginning.
Cary hit on the spot. If you are new to PPC advertising, you want to be careful on how you are bidding on the keywords. It's easy to get carried away and pay too much.
But one of basics for any successful PPC campaign is your quality keywords.
When you bid on keywords, it's crucial to bid on words that are selling words.
For example, if I had a website selling REO homes, I would spend more marketing funds on keywords such as:
florida reo home for sale
rehab reo homes in florida
reo homes in 33327
These keywords generate quality leads because there is already a high interest in buying, whereas if I just targeted "REO homes" I will attract visitors that are just "Browsers" with no real intention to take action or become a lead.
There is a bit to learn to fully grasp PPC advertising, but I feel that the internet is the future business and marketing. I stress you become savvy in online marketing. More and more investors and consumers are shifting to the wired market.
Hey all,
I've actually been using PPC for years.
I just have not ever done it to locate people who need short sales.
I think this topic was moved?
Anyone know what type of keywords one would want to target for short sale audience?
Thanks!
I use Google Adwords to have keyword ideas for the website I am gong to work on.
I want to learn PPC and more of internet mark.
Make sure you learn as much as you can about PPC before venturing off and starting a campaign. Start off small and make sure to monitor your campaign. Just a heads up, the keywords for the real estate investing niche are very expensive.
I have great luck with adwords, I always suggest using a number of different ads variation, and key words. Adwords works great for me and getting leads
I've used Adwords for finding business as a Realtor. Something that I noticed in my local market is when people use keywords such as "City Homes" or "City Homes For Sale" they are primarily buyers.
When people searched for keyowrds such as "City Realtors" or "City Real Estate Agents" they are primarily sellers.
I my local area I didn't find keywords containing anything such as "Sell my home in City" or "Where To Sell My City Home" or anything specific to someone wanting to sell a home.
As far as foreclosures go I pretty much only found keywords that were for buying foreclosures. Not Selling.
Every market is different. So, you will want to use the Google Keyword Tool to do some research into the specific searches people in your market use. Just because people in my local market mostly used "Homes For Sale" type keywords for buyers, "Realtor" based keywords for sellers, and mostly only looking to buy foreclosure doesn't mean that it will be the same in your area.
