I tried to post the link. I took a class on it! This article explains why I've been buying in Rio Grand Valley, and the city they don't list is my favorite. Great area to buy for SO many reasons.

Rich,
I know I razzed you on a past article you cited in reference to the cities you were buying in (the article was 3-4 years old and based on bubble data :cool: ). Anyway, IMHO - what you cite here is a MUCH better source of data for why to invest in an area. Areas with economics of living like this indicate local governance that, for lack of a better term, has their sh-- together. That is a very important factor to consider, especially in volatile times and when you want to buy and hold. People tend to incorrectly assume that landlords have money to burn. It's very bad being an investor in an area where an irresponsible local governance decides to rape the landlords to make up for their shortfall.
