I moved to Maui Hawaii in 1997 with my husband and young son. Presently I live in Kihei Hawaii with my two boys now 9 and 13.
I am currently a Realtor with Keller Williams Realty Maui. I was first licensed in the early 90’s at the age of 20 in Washington State. I jumped back in at the tail end of the height of the market in 2005 once my children were older, it has been interesting, exiting, challenging, as well as constantly changing, but I have loved every minute.
I had learned from a very young age that constant knowledge in the field you chose would make the difference between mediocre and success. I found that you are never given a problem without the ability to find the solution, that’s why I believe in having a professional team as well as an entire network of professionals to brainstorm with, each possessing years of knowledge from all walks of life.
Recently I started a team within my office to focus on international real estate, 808Hawaii Real Estate Professionals. Our official launch was in October when we sponsored a booth in Vancouver BC at a real estate investment conference, Real Estate Outlook 2009 hosted by Ozzie Jurock.
As we all know, real estate changes on a daily basis nationally and internationally. I feel it is important to make sure that I work with a team of professionals that put the client at the forefront whether they are buyer or seller. I strive to stay informed of all changes as they are happening.
What an interesting time to be a Realtor, with so many changes and challenges taking place in the US and around the world from technology to economics; we are seeing major changes from the way many industries do business to how consumers decide on what to purchase, and we are all hungry for information.
I believe it is important to; be tech savvy, constantly continuing education, possess great customer service skills, have current market knowledge, possess knowledge of international sales process and requirements, and have a great network of tried and trusted lenders, title agents, and other industry professionals needed throughout a real estate transaction.
I am in the process of learning and working commercial and international real estate as well as practicing residential real estate, but open to any new opportunity. I also love teaching, helping and motivating others.
I possess extensive experience in customer relations and customer service. Additional skills and experience that I have acquired over the years are in research, marketing, motivation, and business planning.
I posses an uncontrollable thirst for knowledge in many areas and am highly motivated to find ways to incorporate my current knowledge, skills, and interests to start, form, or be involved with a new venture, small business, or non-profit organization.
Now that my children are older they require less of my time and focus which leaves me open to search for new ventures with passion and excitement.
I also enjoy surfing, watching my boys play inline hockey, walks on the beach, learning anything new, and reading. Currently reading the Passionate Samurai, a must read.
