I did a lot of different things before I started looking at real estate as a potential source of income. All of the different things that I did were general labor, light industrial, warehousing, pizza delivery, auto parts delivery, security guard, clean up crew at the local swap meet, fast food, transit bus driver and long haul truck driver. I have about a year and a half of mortgage note brokering experience. Becoming a mortgage note broker got me to looking at the real estate market more but not as a real estate agent. Eventually, maybe a year or two down the road, I want to have enough cashflow from my real estate deals, whether they be bulk reo or short sales or flip individual properties to be able to buy my own mortgage notes, reos or do the buy and hold strategy.
