I am a general contractor and real estate developer. When times were good, my focus was building single family custom homes and developing land to flip to larger builders. Now that no one is buying land or new homes, I would like to become more active in REI to supplement my income. Because of my background, I have a pretty strong knowledge of real estate in general. However, investing in existing properties, either to buy and hold or to flip, is somewhat new and I look forward to learning from the wealth of knowledge that is available on BP.

Experience

I have been involved in construction and real estate development since 1997. During that time I have built and sold approx. 125 custom homes and developed in excess of 1,500 residential lots.

Real Estate Goals

Develop a successful REI business to complement my general construction business, with an initial focus on fixing and flipping, including short sales, and a long term goal of acquiring a real estate portfolio that provides passive income and wealth for retirement.
