Smith & Graham Investments is a real estate focused private acquisition firm that acquires distressed assets both residential and commercial, specifically mortgage loans and REO assets from banking institutions and other financial firms both nationally and internationally.
The firm's laser focus is primarily on properties that have been distressed for over 180 days as well as priced lower than the the market value for that sector. We then acquire these assets, either we convert them into performing then market it to our investors, or sell it at a wholesale price for a quick profit.

-JV with a local partner to redevelop the properties, resulting in a more cost-efficient method.
-Using what we call a "work out team" to turn non-performing assets into performing assets.
-Wholesaling to local, national, or international investors to turn a quick profit.
-Cashflowing the properties for an attractive additional return.

I have been successful at buying, selling, and broking mortgages notes, LC, and TD for over 6yrs and loving every minute of it. I just started investing into RE (actually buying properties) in the last 2yrs, but really, it's kind of the same. When buying a note, you're are buying the "terms" and if the buyer defaults you acquire the home in result. So buying actual RE is almost the same expect doing the repairs is not my forte.
I want to acquire and keep 50 apartment complexes and 100 SFH's in the next 5yrs. Hopefully publish a small book about note buying for collage kids.
