My name is Marty Boardman and I am the creator of Free Real Estate Education.com, a collection of informative, relevant, insightful, funny, sad and timely information for real estate professionals, investors and homeowners.

I have been a full-time real estate entrepreneur and instructor since 2002. During that time I have acted as the principal in over 150 real estate transactions in Arizona, Illinois and Texas.

I am the Chief Financial Officer for Rising Sun Capital Group, LLC, a real estate investment firm based in Gilbert, AZ. We purchase homes at the courthouse steps and public REO auctions. We also find REO and short sales from the multiple listing service.

I am an accredited instructor for the Arizona Academy of Real Estate. My class, Attracting Investor Clients, is good for 3 hours of agency law for Arizona Realtors.

I created my blog because I wanted to share my successes and failures with the world. Most real estate professionals will not talk about their mistakes because it's bad for business. Not me. I stopped pretending everything was okay in 2007 when I traded in my Mercedes Benz for a 1995 Honda Accord. The music stopped and I didn't have a chair. I live in Gilbert, Arizona with my wife and two daughters.

Experience

Full-time real estate investor since 2001. I've done 55 flips in Maricopa County (Phoenix) since July, 2009 and average 2-5 flips a month.

Real Estate Goals

My goal is to create enough revenue from flipping over the next 5 years to purchase 40 buy and hold properties. Then I will golf, sit on the beach, golf and sit on the beach some more.
